Keep in a dry place and avoid moisture

While some hearing aids today are being designed to be waterproof, it's still best to remove them as you swim or shower. If the device comes into contact with a liquid substance, be sure to dry them with a cloth immediately. Do not try to use a heated device such as a hair dryer, since the heat can easily damage them. If you stay in a humid area, consider storing the device in a special dehumidifier for hearing aids.

Ensure the device is earwax free

One of the leading causes of poor performance in hearing aids is earwax. Unluckily, it is nearly impossible to ensure that earwax doesn't get in the device. This is the reason it's essential to clean them regularly.
